The afternoon light illuminates the western facades of the buildings. Ink and watercolor sketch on location, watercolor finished at home. Sketched from the sw corner of President Street and 6th Avenue
Living in Park Slope, I enjoy sketching the landmarks in the neighborhood.
By sketching, I hope to implant some of the wisdom of these landmarks into my mind. They have so much to say.
I sketch freehand, on location. I use a black pen on a 9 x 12 sketch pad. I don't use pencil. There is no tracing-over or retouching. I may exclude cars parked on the street and other items if they don't add to the architecture.
I hope visitors enjoy this site. It is much more satisfying to sketch when you can share them with others.
